J.A. Adams Buried Today at Fairview
Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at First Baptist church for James A. Adams, who died at his home on North College avenue Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.
Rev. Blake Smith, pastor, was assisted by Rev. John McConnell and Rev. E.L. Cote. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Park.
Floral pieces from the family were made by the six sons of Mr. Adams and included one of large white lilies with rows of white and pink carnations radiating from the centerpiece.
As a tribute to his long association with plants, Mrs. Delmer Collins, Mrs. L.B. Uhl, Mrs. Alfred Henbest and Mrs. Thad Rowden covered the casket with flowers as a part of the service.
Music was by the entire church choir both at the church and at the cemetery.
Pallbearers were H.O. Davis, J.R. Greer, Berry Vaughn, Homer Pearsen, Otto Wantuck and W.S. Campbell.
Thank you to Donna Williams for the above info.
