The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, April 3, 1969:
Richard Venezia, 24, the son of Rev. and Mrs. V. A. Venezia of Henderson, died Tuesday morning at the Colin Anderson Center, St. Mary's, W. Va., following a lengthy illness.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Richard Scherpenisse of Galena, Kans., and Mrs. Bettina Chapman of Mexico, Mo., and a brother, John Carl, a student at Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Mo.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) at the Memorial Chapel. Rev. Herman R. Schuessler, minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Mountain Home, will officiate. Interment will be in the Herron Cemetery, near Henderson, under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Service.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cerebral Palsy Fund or to any other desired charity.
Rev. and Mrs. Venezia moved to this area last month from Montgomery City. Mo. Rev. Venezia is the new pastor of the Lake Norfork Presbyterian Church of Henderson and the One-O-One Presbyterian Church of Gamaliel.
