Oct 1841 - 1934
Arminda (Robinson) Martin Robinson was the fourth wife of my great grandfather, Hugh B. Phillips who is buried in Western Grove Cemetery. Hugh married 1867 in Cannon County, Tennessee Mary L. E. Prater by whom he had two daughters, Louisa E. born 1869 who died before 1880 and Francis Mariah "Fanny" (Phillips) McCoy 1872 - 1939. In 1875, he married my great grandmother, Mary Belle Fowler by whom he had four sons and a daughter, the oldest of whom was my grandfather, James Brown "Jim B." Phillips 1876 - 1935. In 1886, he married Malinda "Mindy" A. Mallett. I've never been able to determine whether Mallett was a maiden or earlier married name nor her age, since she never appears on any census by that name. They had two daughters, Geraldine "Gurley" (Phillips) Ramsey 1887 - 1912 and Buenavista "Bueny" (Phillips) Moore 1889 - c1915. Arminda "Mindy", his fourth wife, was the only one with whom he had no children - nor did she have any by her first marriage.
