FAYETTEVILLE--Robert G. Winn, 92, of Fayetteville died Jan. 1, 1996, at his home. He was born March 27, 1903, at Porter (later Schaberg, Crawford County) to George A. and Mary Stockburger Winn. He grew up in Winslow, was a graduate of University High at the University of Arkansas, Asbury College, University of Florida and University of Southern California. He was a veteran of World War II, a teacher and a civil service employee for the state of California. He moved back to Arkansas in 1970 after 35 years in Los Angeles. Since 1972 he had contributed to numerous publications, was a columnist for the Northwest Arkansas Times and the author of a number of books on the history of Northwest Arkansas. He was a Protestant.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ann Naranjo of California; three grandson; four great-grandchildren.

Cremation was under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to the Shiloh Museum, 118 W. Johnson Ave., Springdale 72764.
