Mrs. Jasen was born Wednesday, January 30, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of William and Olivia Forster Grace. She married Frank Jasen on June 6, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a School Teacher.

Our mom led a wonderful, dynamic and enriching military family household. We were always on the move from the east coast to the west coast before they settled in Mountain Home. During these moves every 18 months to four years, she made an effort to visit and participate in local cultural and historical events from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., zoos, art galleries, to the Lopoc, CA Flower Festival. We fondly remember the frequent stops at national parks, historic sites and attractions during these trips across country. Mom loved their dog, Frosty and her 2 stray cats, Bobbie Cat and Zero. The cats found her and she cared for them for many years taking them in from the cold in the winter and getting them to the veterinarian to be stitched up after a cat fight. On one such trip to the vet one cat ran away and it was half a year later that the cat found its way home to mom. Mom was an accomplished seamstress, at one point making most of her clothes and some clothes for daughter, Lee Ann. She amassed a collection of over 150 thimbles for use and display and 5 sewing machines. She was willing to take on many projects, re-caning chairs, mosaic tiling, wood and marble lamp fixtures and other projects for pleasure and household utility.

Elizabeth lived in Mountain Home for 32 years moving from Vandenberg AFB, California. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She was active at St. Peter as a Eucharist Minister, Sacristant, Lector and member of the Liturgy.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Frank Jasen, of Mountain Home, two sons, Frank (Maria) Jasen, Jr. of Hunt Valley, MD, William (Emilia) Jasen of Richland, WA, daughter, Olivia (Steven) Richmond of Bellevue, WA, six grandchildren, Frank Jasen, III, Andrea E. Jasen,, Andriana Jasen, Daniella Jasen, Nathan Richmond and Andrew Richmond and sister-in-law Ann Sage of Framingham, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas with Frank Jasen, Jr., William Jasen, Frank Jasen, III, Nathan Richmond, Andriana Jasen and Olivia Richmond as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, Meals on Wheels, or the Mountain Home Food Bank. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
