Kenneth Earl Shiers, went from this life to run the track with his K-9 dog Bosco on Friday, July 24, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1963, at Millington, Tennessee, to Harry Earl Shiers and Linda Marie Minton Shiers. He had been in law enforcement since 1990 and served with the Benton County Sheriff K-9 unit beginning in 1995. He was a K-9 trainer for the Benton County Sheriff Office as well as Pea Ridge Police Departments. In 2008 he began serving as an officer with the Pea Ridge Police Dept. He was a Christian and enjoyed his family, trout fishing, and riding his Harley. He is preceded in death by his mother and two step-children, Bridgete Stroud and Dustin Stroud. Survivors are his wife Julie Shiers of Pea Ridge; one daughter, Kenna Shiers of the home; two sons, Kody Stroud of the home, and Brady Shiers of Gravette; his father, Harry Shiers of Batesville, Arkansas; one sister, Debbie Shiers of Mississippi.

Funeral service is set for Wednesday, July 29, 10:00a.m. at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

Visitation is set for Tuesday, July 28, 5-7:00p.m. at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Memorials may be made to Julie Shiers memorial fund at any Arvest Bank.
