OBIT

Robert Wayne Cole, 85, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away July 27, 2010. He was born November 2, 1924 to Joe Raymond and Sudie Cole. He was a long time member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from First Electric after 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Effie Ward, Billie Crow, Jerrie Seaton, and Ruth Grizzle.



He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Alice Cole; two daughters, Marilyn (Johnny) Watson of Jacksonville, Carolyn (Charles) Reed of Shelby, North Carolina, and one son, David Cole of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kelly Victory, David (Jackie) Shewmaker, Chad Reed, Carole Reed, Dustin (Chrissy) Cole, and Devin Cole; one great-grandson, Dawson Shewmaker, and sister, Christine Brown.



Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Cliff Hutchins, and Rev. Ken Jerome officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 401 N. First St., Jacksonville, AR 72076, or Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
