QUINTON, Alf - Uncle Alf Quinton, one of the oldest settlers of Pitkin neighborhood, died suddenly last Friday of heart failure and was buried Saturday.

Alf Quinton, aged 70 years, died suddenly January 4 at his home near Woolsey from a ruptured blood vessel. Mr. Quinton was born near Springdale but had resided in the vicinity where he died for about fifty years. He was a member of the G.A.R., having served during the war as a member of Company D, First Arkansas. He is survived by a wife, two sons and two daughters.
