Arlin Luther McVay, age 56, of Calico Rock, died May 16, 1974.

He was a retired Water Commissioner, World War II veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Calico Rock, and had lived all of his life in Izard County.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of the home; one daughter, Sandra Lucy of Calico Rock; one granddaughter, Sandye Lucy of Calico Rock; four brothers, Earl McVay of Oxford, Ark.; Elmer McVay of Washington; Granville McVay of Kansas; Homer McVay of North Carolina; seven sisters, Elvie Soden of Melbourne; Maude Yancey of Wideman; Alma Porterfield of Melbourne, Ark.; Hettie McGaha of Washington; Nettie Duren of California; Estelle Tate of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Addie Carry of Washington.

Funeral service was held Saturday, May 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Calico Rock, Ark., with Bro. E. Edwin Sain and Bro. Carl White officiating.

Burial in Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements by Howard's Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Ray Von Cantrell, Roy Killian, Nolan Mason, Lanean Kerr, Harold Jeffery; Billy Gene Killian, Dannie Guy Jenkins, and Jerry Hays.

Son of J. Aaron McVay & Alice Butler McVay.
Married Hazel Faye King, July 16, 1938, Wideman, Izard County, Arkansas.
