Elgin 'E.C.' Whiteaker, son of the late Elgin C. Whiteaker and Mary Jane Foster Whiteaker, was born April 15, 1924, in Calico Rock. He departed this life on June 30, in Calico Rock at the age of 85 years. He was united in marriage to Nettie Adams on April 15, 1924.
E.C. is survived by his wife of the home, Nettie Whiteaker; one son Ronnie Whiteaker of Calico Rock; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Richard Gallegos of Calico Rock; three granchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of other nieces and nephews and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hershel Whiteaker and Ernest Whiteaker; one sister, Elsie White; one grandson, James Gallegos.
Funeral service was July 3, at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel. Burial at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family funeral Home in Calico Rock.
