DUTTON, Moses - (from The Fayetteville News, 21st inst.) Uncle Moses Dutton, one of the oldest residents of the county, died at his home near Goshen yesterday afternoon at an advanced age. His life had been passed mostly in the neighborhood of the scene of his death. He was a minister of the Methodist church South and very active in the pursuit of his calling, going from settlement to settlement to awaken interest in the cause of religion. A large family of children survive him, one of whom like himself, a preacher, died a few years ago. During the war Uncle Moses served in the Confederate army and after hostilities with renewed energies rebuilt the home that had been desolated by war.
