BLACK ROCK -- Clois J. Combs, 73, of Black Rock died Thursday, March 11, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

BLACK ROCK -- Clois J. Combs, 73, of Black Rock died Thursday, March 11, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born at Black Rock, he lived in California several years before moving back to Black Rock in 1974. He was a retired general laborer and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include three sons, Craig Combs of Hemet, Calif., Gary Combs of Midway City, Calif., and Sherman Combs of Fontana, Calif.; one daughter, Teresa Combs of Black Rock; one brother, Robert H. Combs of Sun City, Ariz.; one sister, Dora Belle Orrick of Lynn; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Combs.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock, with Everett Hart officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robert Combs, Parvin Smith, Marvin Combs, Bobby Combs, Craig Combs, Gary Combs and Sherman Combs.

Teresa Combs will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
