Obituary
JIM B. DAY, DIES SUDDENLY SATURDAY AT DOCTOR'S HOME
Funeral services were held by Rev. T.W. Hayes Sunday at Macedonia Church for Jim B. Day, aged 63, of Mayflower, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon at the home of Dr. G.W.L. Harrod in the Woodrow community, where Mr. Day was receiving treatment. He had been in poor health for several years, but his death was unexpected.
Mr. Day was a native of Georgia, where he was born September 23, 1877, but had lived in Faulkner County for about 50 years.
He is survived by a son, Calvin Day of Reno, Nev.; four daughters, Mrs. George Moss and Mrs. Jack Brown of Reno, Mrs. Kenneth Martin and Miss Louise Day of Mayflower; four grandchildren, Mary Frances and George Moss, Jr., and Jack Brown, Jr., of Reno, and Jimmie Edward Martin of Mayflower; three brothers, W.C., Ed, and Walter Day of Conway; and one sister, Mrs. J.T. Hallum of Little Rock.
Interment was at Macedonia Cemetery in charge of J.A. Pence and Son. Active pallbearers were Grover Turner, Lonnie Webb, John Townsend, Alfred Cargile, Lester Sellers, and George Davis.
