Michael Andrew Wilkett, 21, of Hoxie, died March 16, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born in Independence, Mo., he moved to Hoxie in early life. A 2002 graduate of Hoxie High School, he was a freshman at Black River Technical College and a member of New Beginnings Church in Hoxie.
Survivors include his mother, Lisa Wilkett, Hoxie; his father, Mike Wilkett, Florida; three sisters, Nikki Wilkett, Hoxie, and Olivia Wilkett and Caty Wilkett, both of Florida; his grandmother, Cathy Gullett, Hoxie; his grandfather, Darrell Snedker, Swifton; his grandparents, William and Faye Wilkett, Ohio; aunts and uncles, Rance and Teresa Gullett, Donnie and Becky Jacobs, Kathy Butler, Leonard and Lana Richey, Chris Brassfield, Stephen Gullett, Darrel and Ashley Snedker, Greg and Jodi Wilkett, Allen and Barbie Wilkett; and cousins, Jeffery, Brittany, Maegon, Alicia, Matthew, Courtney, Teron, Levi, Tyler, Jett, Shelbie, Cody, Austin, Jessica, Lauren, Jostin and Chesney.
Funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Life Cathedral Church in Hoxie with Rick Anglin and Nick Troutman officiating. Burial was in Markham Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Matthew Travis, Jeffery Gullett, Chris Bullard, Caleb Wall, Cody Maxie, John Youngman, Jeremy Johnson and Jordan Richardson. Honorary pallbearers were the Hoxie High School Classes of 2001 and 2002.
