Robert G. (Pete) Haney, 58, of Columbia, MO, died Wednesday (July 4, 1990) at Veteran Administration Hospital in Knoxville, IW. He was formerly of Mt. Home.
Visitation will be 5-8PM Sunday at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 11AM Monday at the Fairview Cemetery in Mt. Home with the Rev. John McCormack officiating. Pallbearers include Garold Flock, Ray Henderson, Kenneth Boughton, James Whitehead, Kenneth Whitehead and Carroll Whitehead.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Haney, at home; one son, Roger G. Haney of Tucson, AZ; one daughter, Terry Mochel of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Henry Haney of Flippin and Orville Haney of Shawnee Mission, KS; three sisters, Alberta Sanders of Pineville, Anna Sue Friend of Springdale, Linda Knuper of Spanaway, WA; one grandson, Travis Haney of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent, Robert D. and Elizabeth Helm Haney.
Mr. Haney was a resident of Columbia, MO, since 1978. He was born Dec 25, 1931, at Cartney and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He married Mary Layfield Haney in 1959 at Mt. Home. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
