Joseph John Misic, 87, of the Buford community, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2004.
Mr. Misic was born August 20, 1916, in Frontenac, KS to Josef and Matilda (Polansek) Misic. He was a WWII Army Veteran, serving in the South Pacific where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a member of the D.A.V. and attended Emmanuel Church in Mt. Home. He was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Misic married Alice Cooke Misic on December 12, 1942, in Tacoma, Washington. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a sister Katie Misic. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at 2:00PM at Fairview United Methodist Church in Buford with the Rev. Jimmie Snot officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 1-2PM prior to the service.
