Son of Bryon L. & Catherine Arens DeSerisy.
Married Lola L. Ward, November 1, 1947, Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada.

George A. DeSerisy, 72, of Old Joe community of Norfork died Wednesday (June 19, 1990) at his residnece.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 2PM at the Old Galatia Church with the Rev. John M. McCormick officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be a the Galatia Cemetery with graveside services provided by North Arkansas Veteran Council, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3246 and the American Legion Post 52.
Mr. DeSerisy was born on Nov 16, 1918, at Carthage, Ohio and married Lola Ward in Las Vegas, NV. He retired from the US Navy in 1960, and was the former sheriff of Izard County. He served in law enforcement from 1960 to 1984 in Izard County and was sheriff for two years. He was a chief gunner mate while in the Navy serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, American Theater and the European-Africian-Middle Eastern Theater. He also was awarded a Good Conduct Award, United Nations Medal, Korean Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a avid hunter and fisherman, and loved working with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryon L. and Catherine Arens DeSerisy.
He is survived by his wife, Lola DeSeisy of the home; four sons, Bryon DeSerisy of Mt. Home, Patrick DeSerisy of San Diego, CA, John Shoemaker of Lafayette, LA and Robert Shoemaker of San Diego, CA; on brother, Donald DeSerisy of Franklin, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Barkau of Fort Myers, FL and Ara McCarnan of Mason, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
