August 1, 1924 - December 13, 2000
TRUMANN - Raymond Huskey, 76, of Trumann, died Wednesday at the Regional Medical Center of NEA. A Baptist, he operated Huskey's Grocery in Trumann for 35 years. He was an Army Engineers veteran of World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Huskey of the home; one son, Bobby Huskey of Trumann; three daughters, Evelyn Mitchusson of Jonesboro, Jane Furnish of Trumann and Lori Bunch of Colquitt, Ga.; one brother, Monroe Huskey of Saffell; three sisters, Verna Ballard of Arizona, Florene Harris and Devone Northcutt, both of Strawberry; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro, with Mark Constant and Tad Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery at Strawberry.
Pallbearers will be Carrell Gene Huskey, Steve Huskey, Jerry Huskey, Junior Huskey, Ricky Huskey and Randal Northcutt.
Honorary pallbearers will include Leonard Holt, Bill Cook, J.P. Penter, Mike Cook and Mark Wrench.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
For lasting memorials the family requests that consideration be given to the American Heart Association.
