Verne Hugh Park, 80, of Mt. Home died Friday at Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Park, who had moved here from Hazel Park, MI, on 1971, was a retired toolmaker for Ford Motor Company. He was a native of Canada, born at Wyoming, Ontario, Jan 1, 1905. He married Marie Park Nov 3, 1926, at Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Norfork First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert Hugh Park of Canton, Ohio; one daughter, Evelyn N. Villef of Dolph; and one sister, Aileen Long of London, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh J. and Menila Hill Park; his wife; one daughter; and three brothers.
Services were Sunday at the Norfork First Baptist Church with the Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery with Gerald Villneff, Tommy Dickerson, James Whitehead, Bob Drum, Everett James and Clarence Williams serving as pallearers.
Arrangements wer by Kirby and Family Funeral Directors.
