Howard Vernon Fitzpatrick, son of the late James and Mae Durham Fitzpatrick, was born April 19, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan. He died October 14, 1997, in Calico Rock. He was 70.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was united in marriage to Helen Rene Arnold August 29, 1949, in Flippin. To this union two sons were born. He spent most of his life as a school bus driver for the Salem and Oxford schools.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Ed Fitzpatrick of Oxford and Keith Fitzpatrick of the home; one sister Nellie Mae Angel of Yellville; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Graveside services were held Ocotber 15, 1997, at the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork with Cecil Soper officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Eddie Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
