Obituary
Connell Guy Straeter, 75, of Cotter died Wednesday of last week at the Bull Shoals Community Hospital. He was a former resident of Kansas City, MO, where he was manager of the Parkview Drug Store.
A protestant and World War I veteran, Mr. Straeter, was born Feb 6, 1905, at Dodge City, KS. He was married here in 1951, to the former Ivy J. Beavers. In addition to his wife of Cotter, survivors include two daughters, Rose Plagman of Tulsa, OK, and Dougie Wilson of Kansas City; two step daughters, Willie May Fisher of Flippin and Jorean Lively of Cotter; an uncle, Bill Straeter of Kansas City; an aunt, Elisabeth Marlow of Wichita, KS; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Friday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Cook officiating. Interment was in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery at Advance. Pallbearers were Jack Fisher, Dave Lively, Ralph Wilson, Larry Wilson, Denis Wilson and Mike Lively. Larry Simone, Carol Wood and Chuck Milum were honorary pallbearers.
