Felix Price Lindsey, Sr, 77, a longtime resident of Baxter County and former postmaster at Lone Rock, in South Baxter, died Sunday at his home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM today (Thursday) at the Lone Rock Baptist Chruch with Rev. Troy Melton of Mt. Home officiating. Interment was in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery at Lone Rock, with the McClure Service in charge of arrnagemnts.
Mr. Lindsesy was born April 5, 1889, in Arkansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wright Lindsey. He moved to Baxter County in 1939, and was a member of the Lone Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Lindsey of the home; five sons, Felix Price, Jr, with the US Army in Germany, George W. of Mt. Home, Ward of Des Moines, Iowa, Eldon of Norfork and Ellis Lindsey of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Mae Gimbert of Lisle, NY and Mrs. Lois Miller of Chenango Bridge, NY; 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother Bill Lindsey of Joplin, MO and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hockman and Mrs. Sadie McGlothien, both of Des Moines.
