The home crafted marker that was placed at this grave sometime after the grave was relocated from the Wildcat Cemetery does not exactly agree with the Corps of Engineers records of grave locations. The grave is now marked Sarah Lawarance. The records show the grave as Sarah E. Lowrance-Nipps which probably means that she had been known as Sarah Lowrance, but had married a Nipps. There are three other graves on the Corps of Engineer records with a surname of Lowrance; no Lawarance or Lawrence names; and no other Nipps names. In the old cemetery, her grave was next to Peter Lowrance, and there were two Lowrance infant graves, and those four graves were moved to consecutive plots in the relocated cemetery. That might mean that she was first married to Peter Lowrance and then later married a Mr. Nipps.
Sarah E. Lowrance-Nipps was buried in the Wildcat Cemetery. Prior to the impounding of the Bull Shoals Reservoir, her remains were moved to the New Wildcat Cemetery, now known as the Fairview Cemetery.
