Husband of (1) Nancy C. Brady (marr. 30 Sep 1852), (2) Susan Rebecca Dent (marr. 09 Apr 1876); son of John and Farrabee Beasley Hooper.
George and Susan had no children of their own, but over the years they took 7 orphaned children into their home; only one of these children, Fannie Paterson Hooper (Porter), was adopted. After George's death, Susan married William Wesley Taylor.
