Billy Joe Lawrence the son of William Buster Lawrence and Frances Josephine Campbell Lawrence. Betty Kathel (Ratliff) Lawrence the daughter of Garland Edward Ratliff and Fannie M (Franklin) Ratliff.

WALNUT RIDGE -- Billy J. Lawrence, 73, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Imboden, died Friday, Dec. 20, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.

Born in Annieville, he was employed by Caterpiller Technical Center as a precision machinist in Mossville, Ill., for more than 38 years. He moved to Imboden after retirement. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Kathel Ratliff Lawrence of the home; three sons, Chasel Lawrence of Raleigh, N.C., Joey Lawrence of Peoria, Ill., and Tim Lawrence of Atlanta; one daughter, Revah Anzaldua of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Francis Lawrence, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Imboden. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Imboden.

Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Higginbotham Funeral Service.
