James Terry Wallace, 43, brother of Mrs. Albert White, 419 W. Elm St., was one of the 53 persons killed in the explosion of the Titan II silo near Searcy Monday. Wallace was born Dec. 3, 1922 at Helena and was the son of E. W. and Myrtle Bell Ellenburg Wallace. He was a pipefitter and lived in Columbus, Miss. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Homer McMinn of Columbus; three sons, James Harvey Wallace, Terry Gordon Wallace and Ronnie Wallace, all of Columbus; one daughter, Miss Tammy Wallace of Columbus; three brothers, Don Wallace and C. D. Wallace, both of Columbus, and C. J. Wallace of Carthage, Tex.; five other sisters, Mrs. Fred Davis of Camden, Mrs. Louise Porter of New Orleans, Mrs. Rudolph Patterson of Luling, La., Mrs. Bert Sare of Dallas, Tex. and Miss Melba Wallace of Grand Isle, Neb. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Young's Chapel with Rev. John Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Pallbearers will be N. B. Ervin, J. C. Flenniken, Bert Sare, Fred Davis, Eddie Ellison and Curtis Porter. (The El Dorado Times - August 11, 1965)
