Funeral services for Elmer Jefferson Weatherford, aged 51, of Norfork were held Tuesday at 2:30PM in the Norfork Baptist Church with Rev O.I. Ford of Midway officiating. Interment was in the Norfork Cemetery with graveside Masonic rites. Roller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Weatherford died Sunday evening in a Calico Rock hospital.
He was born May 16, 1910, at Mt Pleasant and had lived in Norfork for the past 20 years. Mr. Weatherford was a member of the Norfork Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Anna Weatherford and two sons, E.J and Ronald Gene, all of Norfork; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Yancey and Mrs. Loretta Greer, both of Norfork, and Mrs. Annita Caraway of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Ardis Lewis of Kansas City, Mrs. Lillie Said of Swifton, Mrs. Effie Brooks of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Helen Winkle, Mrs. Fay Chapple and Mrs. Ruby Stewart, all of Senath, MO; three brothers Ed Weatherford of Wenatchee, WA, Ray Weatherford of Mt. Pleasant and Olin Weatherford of Senath, and his mother Mrs. Celia Weatherford of Senath.
