Prescott, Feb. 26 - Dr. W. E. Arnold, Confederate veteran who served during the four years of the Civil war, and who was a physician and surgeon in pioneer days, died here Sunday at the age of 85. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. J. L. David and Mrs. D. M. Davis of Magnolia, and Mrs. C. E. Schumaker of Prescott, and two sons, R. P. Arnold, former mayor of Prescott, now living at Haynesville, La., and C. P. Arnold of Prescott. (Arkansas Democrat - February 26, 1923)
