April 9, 1910 - November 27, 1969
Preston Felton Haynes, 59, was found dead about 5 p.m. Thursday at his home on Rt. 3. El Dorado. Richard Martin, deputy coroner ordered an autopsy which revealed the man died of acute pulmonary edema or natural causes. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruthie Haynes, Rt. 3; six daughters, Mrs. Ruth White and Mrs. Myrtle Ponder, both of El Dorado, and Mrs. Lorene White, Monroe, Wanda Haynes, Marilyn Haynes and Patricia Haynes, all of the home; four sons, Preston Haynes, Marvin Haynes and Richard Haynes, all of El Dorado, and Tom E. Haynes, Calion; a sister, Mrs. Velma Rice, Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Chris Haynes, Malvern, and Sam Lee Haynes, El Dorado; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church at Calion with the Rev. John Beard and the Rev. Pete Cline officiating. Interment will be in the Champagnolle Cemetery, near Calion, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
