William T. "Dub" Brewster, 83 of El Dorado passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. He was born February 23, 1931, to Oswald and Grace Fuller Brewster in El Dorado, AR.

He worked 40 years in law enforcement, and retired as Chief of Police from the El Dorado Police Department in 1983. "Dub" was President of the Arkansas Police Chief's Association from 1980-1983, and he was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and his wife, Jeanette Brewster.

Survivors include his three daughters, Melissa Rainwater (Rick), Shari Burns (Marty) both of El Dorado, Jennifer Barnett (Michael) of Monroe, LA; son, Russell Brewster of El Dorado; brother, James Brewster (Peggy) of Edmond, OK; sister, Letha Reynolds of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Amy Bradshaw (Luke) of El Dorado, Seth Rainwater (Becky), Thomas Brewster, Chrissy Brewster all of El Dorado; and five great grandchildren, Sadie Brewster, Eliza Brewster, Grace Rainwater, Jake Rainwater, and Gabrielle Bradshaw.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Young's.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Harper Springs Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors with Dr. Glen Sparks officiating.

Memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730, or to the Union County Animal Protection Society, 1000 Sunset Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
