*When Joseph C. Patton was born on March 15, 1848, in Tennessee, his father, Thomas, was 34 and his mother, Louisa, was 28. He married Belle Carney on December 5, 1893, in Wise, Texas. He died on November 1, 1919, in Pangburn, Arkansas, at the age of 71, and was buried there.
