SPRINGDALE — Melton Ray McBee, 73, of Springdale died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Sept, 4, 1936, in Gilmer, Texas, to James Elmer and Faye Ellison McBee.
Ray was a banker for many years. He was a truck driver for many years also. He was an American Legion Baseball umpire. He enjoyed visiting Bailey's Style Shop.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann McBee of the home, to whom he was married March 1, 1960; one son, Shannon McBee and wife, Lori, of Clarksville; one daughter, Pam McBee, of Austin, Texas; one brother, Bill McBee, of Ennis, Texas; two sisters, Dot Finney, of Shreveport, La., and Nettie Lambert of Gilmer, Texas; two grandchildren, Allison and Dylan McBee.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Cremation will follow after the service.
