Teddy Jimmy Boyd, 61, of Fort Smith, die Saturday, October 30, 2010.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he had served as a past treasurer, for the Men's Club, and was a former baseball coach. He was Knight of Columbus, 3rd and 4th Degree. He had worked for Southwest Rebuilders, in Fort Smith, and was a member of the Teamsters, and AFL-CIO.
Teddy was preceded ,in death, by his parents, Theodore and Gladys Boyd, three sisters; Velma Lee Boyd, Melba Rogers and Patsy Lasiter, and a brother Don Boyd.
Rosary was at 6pm, Monday, November 1, at Immaculate Conception, with visitation afterward.
Mass was at 10 am, Tuesday, November 2 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Knights of Columbus serving as honor guard and pallbeares. Interment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, one daughter, Terri Knight and husband Eddie, of Fort Smith, two sons; Cliff Boyd and wife Danette, of Fort Smith and Stuart Boyd, of Conway. He is also survived by three sisters; Jean Jones Collier, of Fort Smith, Shirley Avey and husband John, of Mullberry and Sue Reed and husband Larry, of Fort Smith, one brother, Bill Boyd, of Hackett, a sister in law, Della Boyd, of Fort Smith and a brother in law, Othel Lasiter, of Mullberry. He also had seven grandchildren, Payton, Katelyn, Madison, Landon, Joey, Parker, and (T.J.) Easton.
Honorary pallbearers were, Dr. Derrick Richardson, Dr. Eason, Dr. Nolewajka, Dr. Khemka, Leo Dalhem , Tim Atkinson and nieces and nephews.
