FAYETTEVILLE — Suzanne Neal Ray, 62, of Fayetteville died Dec. 26, 2008, at Fayetteville. She was born July 30, 1946, in Dallas to Woodie Hugh and Mary Elizabeth Taylor Ray.
She graduated from Texas Women's University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She taught in the School of Nursing at the University of Arkansas for four years and was employed for nine years in long-term care facilities. She was employed 12 years as a nursing home surveyor for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Office of Long-Term Care.
Survivors include two sisters, Joanna Ray Thompson and Ann Ray Garrett; three brothers, Woodie Hugh Ray and wife Wanda, James Eugene Ray and wife Judy and Edward John Ray, all of Dallas.
A memorial celebrating love and life in her honor will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fayetteville Animal Shelter. Cremation arrangements are by Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
