BARLING -- Charles "Corky" Barron Sr., 59, of Barling died Saturday, July 24, 1999, in a local hospital. He was employed at Putnam Lincoln-Mercury and was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife Virginia; one daughter, Cindy Smith of Michigan; two sons, Charles "Yogi" Barron Jr. of Barling and Allen Barron of Michigan; his mother, Bomber Barron of Barling; four sisters, Diane Posky of Central City, Jeanice McMurtry and LaRaine Lee, both of Barling, and Marceline Anderson of Michigan; one brother, Vic of Wister; and nine grandchildren, Brandy, Mike, Joe, Randy, Mickey, Jay, Dale, Carrie and Leana.

Pallbearers will be Billy Lee, Hank McMurtry Jr., Kenneth Brown, Calvin Posky, Dwight Gibson, Jeff Kilgore, Tom Collins and Delbert Williams.
