*Thomas Laffayette "Fate" Elms was born on March 17, 1869, in Independence, Arkansas. He had two sons and three daughters with Margaret Ella Hicks between 1895 and 1909. He died on March 31, 1930, in Judsonia, Arkansas, at the age of 61, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
*Margaret Ella Hicks was born in May 1865 in Letona, Arkansas. She had two sons and three daughters with Thomas Laffayette "Fate" Elms between 1895 and 1909. She died in 1959 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, at the age of 94.
