On Wednesday, June 30, 2004, Vanita J. "Jeannie" Rogers, 77, of Fort Smith was called home by her Lord.

She was a retired cardiology department receptionist from Holt Krock Clinic after 35 years of service, and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Rogers; two daughters, Danielle Erickson of Fort Smith and Sandy Albert of Fort Smith; one son, J.D. Albert of Fort Smith; one stepdaughter, Debbie VanDuynhoven of Alabama; two stepsons, Kenny Rogers of Hartford and Michael Rogers of Greenwood; one sister, Reba Canada of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren, Amy Roberts of Greenwood, Daniel and Rebekah Albert of Pocola, John, Tony, Amanda and Shawn VanDuynhoven of Alabama, Russell, Deanna and Bryan Rogers of Hartford; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Miles Coatney, Sumler Conrad, Rick Cusick, Bill Hewett, Randy East and Ryan East. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Swink, Ken Brown, Steve Coleman and Bud Cusick.
