Charles Evans was the son of Timothy and Rosa Evans. He attended Douglas High School in Van Buren, Arkansas and A.M. & N. college in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was employed with Missouri Pacific Railroad Co and City National Bank, fort Smith, Arkansas. He married Narcissus Smith. His church affiliation; New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Choir Director, Pianist, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Pianist for Antioch District, District Congress, Instructor, Treasurer of Benevolent Fund and Pianist for Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
