Buddy Leonard Christian, 79, of Fort Smith, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 in a local hospital.
He was a member of Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church where he was Chairman of the Trustees, prayer director, choir member, kitchen committee, and recycled teenagers.
He was a retired cement mason.
Funeral will be Saturday, December 7, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Washington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Spencer, Tracy, William and Christopher Christian, Cedric Marable, and Freddie Holmes, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Louise of the home; daughters: Eva Thompson, Margaret Roane, Marsha May, Ruth Christian, Katherine Simms, Sharon Greene, and Vivian Thrower; his sons: Bruce Christian, Troy Jackson, and Timothy Jackson; a sister, Joyce Griffin; 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
