Born to Jimmy and Leona Andrews in Fort Smith Arkansas, Sebastian County. Both parents preceded him in death.
Three daughters, Latesha, Angela, and Anissa, and one son, John Jr. Angela preceded him in death. Grandchildren are CharMella, MarTesha, Janae, and Cameron.
Five sisters, Charlene, Edna, Norma (LuLu), and Frances. Frances preceded him in death. Six brothers, Robert, Wilbert, Reginald, Leonard, Jimmy Jr., and Sammy. Leonard, Jimmy Jr., and Sammy preceded him in death.
