March 27, 1946 - January 8, 2024
*Obituary
On Monday, January 8, 2024, Robert (Bobby) D. Morris passed away at the age of 77 at his home in Conway, Arkansas with his family by his side.
Bobby was born in Conway on March 27, 1946 to the late Robert and Rejoyce Rose Morris, growing up on Oliver Street during a time period when kids enjoyed playing outdoors until the street lights came on, signaling that it was supper time with the family. He was a graduate of the Conway High School class of 64' and State College of Arkansas, now known as the University of Central Arkansas. Bobby enjoyed an extensive career with Federal Law Enforcement, first with The Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, later to be named Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Customs.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anita Young Morris, sons David (Lisa), of Conway, Michael (Holly), of Jonesboro, three grandsons, Cody (Kacie), of Conway, Logan and Coy, both of Fayetteville, and two step grandsons, Hayden Kiech (Kaira) and Ian Kiech of Jonesboro, and one great granddaughter, Emerysen Kate Morris of Conway, sister, Diane Schrekenhoffer (Tom) of Sherwood, Arkansas, brother-in-law, Danny Young, of Conway; and several nieces.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and aides at Ridgemere Senior Assisted Living, Gentivia Hospice and HomeWell Care Services for the care given to our husband, dad and papaw.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas, with visitation beginning one hour prior at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, Arkansas Children's Hospital or your charity of choice.
