Frank Charles Turnbeaugh, 82, of Fort Smith, died April 24, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born May 14, 1934 in McAlester, OK to Frank Vore and Theresa Amelia Harris Turnbeaugh. As his mother and father called him "Charles" graduated from Bethel High School in Bethel, Oklahoma in 1952. Starting his career he worked at Sylvania Electric in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Continental Plastics of Oklahoma City and GP Plastics Corporation of Mesquite, Texas. In 1968 he moved his daughters and then wife, Zelma Cox to Fort Smith, Arkansas to work for Whirlpool Corporation and completed his career retiring after 25 years. As a manager all his life, his dream of being an entrepreneur was fulfilled through ownership of Judy's Cheese Gallery for 10 years and as a partner in building and creating The Creative Kitchen until 1987. Frank enjoyed his years in the Whirlpool Management Club especially the extra-curricular activities; like floating and fishing the White River, losing their boats in the overnight flood! Some of his proudest moments were starting with a small tent and renting a canoe at Cove Lake then graduating to the boat and camping trailer of his dreams; creating unforgettable memories with his children, grandchildren and friends on Beaver Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years P.J. Turnbeaugh of the home; Daughter Cathy Martinkus and husband John of Pocola and their son Jason and wife Shelley of Denver Colorado with three of his great-grandsons, Truman, Harrison and Norman.

Daughter Phyllis Coats and husband Wesley of Fort Smith, and their son Nick Coats and wife Holly with three of his grandsons, Gabe, Barron and Hagan; son Austin Coats and wife Katie with one of his great-grandson Beckham, and three Step-great-grandchildren, Bennett, Ellie and Bentley.

Daughter Donna Stec and husband Mike of Fort Smith, and their daughter Amanda Stec and friend Zach Swary of Fort Smith, daughter Staci Ledford and husband Zach of Fayetteville, with two of his great-granddaughters Addison and Avery, son Chris Stec and wife Christina.

Step-son Doug McAllister and wife Tina of Van Buren and their daughter Ashley Kimbrow and husband Jason of Fayetteville with three of his great-grandchildren, Mac, Pierce and Eve. Their Son Jay McAllister and wife Corbi of Bryant, with Great-grandson, Crew.

Step-daughter Kelly Wehunt and husband Steve of Fort Smith and three grandsons, Taylor, Spenser and Parker.
Preceded in death by parents Frank Vore and Theresa Amelia Turnbeaugh

The Family will host a Celebration of Life for friends and family in the North Rotunda of the Fort Smith Convention Center on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:30 until 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Private committal will take place at a later date in Rose Lawn-Holy Cross Cemetery Columbarium. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
