Herbert A. Carter, age 91, of Warren, AR. died Tuesday June 12, at Baptist Medical Center. Born December 30, 1920 in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late Charles G. Carter and Johnnie Elizabeth Blair Carter he was a retired millwright for Potlatch Corporation, member and deacon Emmaus Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran and the widower of Lucy Cooper Carter who died March 1, 2004. Also, preceding him in death was a daughter Donna Harrelson, a brother Norman Carter and sisters Latrice Wagnon and Ophie Carter.

Survivors are 3 daughters Brenda Welch and Debbie Pearce both of Russellville, AR., Nita Green, Warren, AR. 1 sister Gail Smith, Warren, AR. A son in law Larry Harrelson, Jacksonville, TX., 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Friday June 15, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Roger Pearce, Rev. Carter Pearce and Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Linda Barrett was pianist and Eddie Raines, Marlin Raines and Donna Raines sang. Burial with flag presentation was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Chris Harrelson, Kevin Harrelson, Casey Pearce, Jonathan Pearce, Paul Outlaw, Mike Hoke, Josh Potts, Danny Paul and Larry Harrelson. Memorials preferred Emmaus Baptist Church or Central Baptist College in Conway, AR.
