*Obituary

Otilio "O.T." Posadas, 71, of Bald Knob, passed away on April 3, 2022. He was born on March 3, 1951, in Abrego, Mexico, to the late Francisco Posadas and Ysidra Turrubiartes. O.T. came to the United States when he was 16 years old, met Kenneth and Anna Jean Hicks, and came to be part of the Hicks family.

He accepted Jesus under the ministry of his brother, Rev. Danielle Shalom Posadas. After the unexpected passing of his brother in 1987, he helped complete the first Pentecostal church in Abrego, San Luis Potosi, Iglesia Templo de Oracion de Cristo Hijo de Dios Viviente. He was a wise, loving, intelligent man, who kept his word. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and Grandfather. Although a quiet man, he was a kid at heart who loved to make people laugh. Most importantly he was a God-fearing, humble, reserved, and generous man. O.T. had a contagious smile, infectious laugh, and strong handshake. He loved to lift his hands in worship to the One he loved most, Jesus Christ. He was a faithful, long-time member of Templo Betesda in Waxahachie, Tx and will be remembered as a daring man who mentored teenage boys and allowed them to work by his side at job sites. He taught them about his trade while helping them to become God-fearing men, loving and supportive husbands and fathers like himself. A hardworking entrepreneur and skilled craftsman, he had a passion for building homes and leaves a legacy of helping to build lives.

He is survived by his wife of 36 ½ years, Mayela Posadas "Mi Chapis"; 4 children, Otilio Glen Posadas Jr. "Mi Chacho", Gabriel Posadas "Mi Pony", Daisy Posadas "Mi Cosillas", and Angela Posadas "Mi Pollito"; siblings, Laura Posadas, Pedro Posadas, Susano Posadas, Lorenzo Posadas, Juan Posadas, and Javier Posadas; Anna Jean Hicks, who was like a mother to him; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 1 grand-dog.

In addition to his parents, O.T. is preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Danielle Posadas; brother-in-law, Eulalio Saavedra; and Kenneth Hicks, who was like a father to him.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00a.m., at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in the Hicks Family Cemetery located in Bald Knob.

Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob - Judsonia.www.powellfuneralhome.net
