Hilery (Nick) Nichols, 86, died August 22, 2009, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eagle Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ida Kimbill Nichols; two brothers, Clabe Nichols and David Nichols; one sister, Ida Grant; and one stepson, Wayland Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Kennedy Nichols of Camden, AR; three sons, Johnny Nichols and his wife Bobbie of Columbia, La, Larry Nichols and his wife, Delma of Choudant, LA, and Eddie Nichols and his wife, Teresa of Camden, AR; three stepsons, Ralph Harrison and his wife Caryn of Camden, AR, Tommy Hooks and his wife Edie of Alaska, and Jimmy Hooks and his wife of Salt Lake City, UT; one stepdaughter, Cindy Zachary and her husband Roland of Vail, AZ; two brothers, George Nichols and his wife Ruth of Melville, LA and Marvin Nichols and his wife Helen of Chiefland, FL; two sisters, Earlene Garsee and her husband, Lewis of Melville, LA and Thelma Naquin and her husband Robert of Melville, LA; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, along with his church family, Gideons, and many friends.
