A.C. "Al" Perceful, 75, of Fort Smith entered into rest Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1926, in Moffett, the son of the late Mount Vernon and Gracie Hester Perceful. A.C. was retired from Southwest Time Record after 42 years of service as a photo and engraving engineer, an Army World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion and of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Sarah Ann Perceful; one daughter, Cheryl Pitts of Fort Smith; three sons, A.C. Jr. and Dennis, both of Fort Smith, and Larry of Springdale; one sister, Edith Metcalf of Tulsa; two brothers, Billy Paul of Fayetteville and Donald Ray of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Sarah and Scott Pitts Jr., Sonya, Shawn and Dustin Perceful and one great-grandchild, Mollie Perceful. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. William S. Renfroe, 80, of Tulsa died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in Tulsa. He was a retired purchasing agent for Western Supply Company in Tulsa. He also was a former parts manager for Rhodes Chevrolet Company. He was formerly from Dyer and had lived in Tulsa since 1949. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. today at Dyer cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. He is survived by several cousins, Scherry Sue Wiley and William Little, both of Van Buren, Zoma Givens of Walla Walla, Wash., and Elton Whitlow of Alma. Pallbearers will be Paul Gifford, J.W. Harrison, Fred Loane, Ronald Fasipaur, Ed Nichols and Eddie Gatlin.
