Daniel Gene Ogden, 70, of Van Buren, AR entered into rest on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Van Buren, AR. He was born December 22, 1942 in Norwich, Connecticut. He was a graduate of Fort Smith High in 1961 and earned a business degree from U of A in Fayetteville. Most of his career was spent in sales of furniture and retired from sales from KDYN Radio in Ozark, AR. He was a member of West-Ark Church of Christ and The Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Connie, 1 daughter Gina Hatmaker and her husband Robert and grandchildren Brittany and Alex all of Collierville, TN., 1 son Scott Ogden of Memphis, TN., 2 sisters Sally Loftin and husband Darrell and Susan Coomer both of Fort Smith, AR., 3 nephews, John Fillay, Bryan Loftin and Wayman Hatman III and 3 nieces Carol Dowdy, Heather Morris and Maegan Thomas. Memorial graveside will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Memorials may be made to Diabetic Foundation or Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
