Dang Nguyen, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on September 17, 2020. He was born on June 10, 1931 in Bien Hoa, Vietnam to Hien Van Le and Tung Thi Nguyen Le. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. Dang was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hue Nguyen and daughter, Hong “Brooke” Nguyen. He is survived by nine children, Cua Nguyen (Loi) of Rogers, Tuyen Nguyen (Thom) of Fort Smith, Paige Xaysanasy (Patrick) of Fort Smith, Cookie Nguyen (Thu) of Springdale, Duc Nguyen (Sharon) of Greenwood, Hanh Nguyen (Hai) of Fort Smith, Hung Nguyen (Clarissa) of Van Buren, Dat Nguyen (Amy) of Van Buren, Cuong Nguyen of Fort Smith; one son-in-law, Shawn Greenwood of Northwest Arkansas; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 AM, Monday, September 21, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM till 5 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the funeral home. Viewing will be 10 AM till 5 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Thu Tran, Duc Nguyen, Hung Nguyen, Dat Nguyen, Thom Nguyen, Tom Nguyen, Taylor Nguyen, Hai Le and Patrick Xaysanasy.
