Michael Shane McGuire of Fort Smith, passed away September 12 at Sparks Hospital.
Michael was born in Nuremberg, Germany and was the son of Vivian Ruth Gibbs and the late Col. Mark McGuire of Long Island, New York. He was the grandson of the late Corinne and Homer Gibbs and was a nephew to Norma Lee Hopkins.
Michael was a graduate of Southside High School, graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. As the owner of his engineering company, McGuire Systems, he was licensed in 43 states , working in Mexico as well as the U.S.
Michael leaves 2 sons, Christian and Phillip McGuire. He was very proud and loved his sons very much. Also their mother, Eunice McGuire. Michael had 1 sister, Kathleen McGuire Townshend, 1 brother, Evan Frick.
Michael will be missed terribly. He loved to hunt and loved restoring his antique cars. He was a generous and teasing uncle to many nieces and cousins.
Graveside service was at Roselawn Cemetery with Mr. Jim Walls officiating.
