Anne Fountain McGehee passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, in her home in Barling, AR.
She was born March 3, 1953 in Fort Smith.

Her parents were Willoughby Fountain McGehee and Lassie Jones Youmans McGehee of Fort Smith. Grandparents were John Fountain McGehee and Essie Oliver McGehee of Fort Smith and George Faust Youmans and Patty Paul Jones Youmans of Fort Smith.

Anne was baptised as an infant September 27, 1953 by Dr. Fred Roebuck in the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith and joined the church November 18, 1962 while Dr. Roebuck was still Senior Pastor. She transferred her church membership November 29, 1982 following her marriage and moving away. When she moved back to Fort Smith she was active in several area churches.

Anne was a 1971 Graduate of Northside High School and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Anne was very talented and did free-lance work in painting, photography, sewing and music with banjo and guitar. She was a member of MENSA.

Memorial graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Her surviving relatives include second cousins Catherine McCartney Sandahl (Paul) of Fort Smith, Mary Youmans Udouj (Dick) of Fort Smith, Anne Mason (Bill) of Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Carolyn Pendleton of Fayetteville, Rev. Herschel McClurkin (Mardell) of Alma, John Dow McClurkin of Mulberry, Glenda Bunch (Gary) of Kingston, AR, Glenn Click of Fort Smith, Sylvia Crain (Johnny) of Springdale, Davis Galloway (Cynthia) of Cookson, OK and Lucille Coleman (Mike) of Fayetteville. Acknowledgement is made of a very special friend since early teen years, Cindy Karrant Holt (Sam) of Little Rock.
